vibmarks.com is a site that contains relevant links to tech related topics. I really like how the site authors have managed to put all of links in one place on their own. The site’s contents is based solely on the author’s effort as I don’t see any way of contributing links to the site. A site worth checking out!

It’s been three days since I got my N800. I’m am still trying to find comfort when using this device for text entries (like this post). Screen keyboard is not my thing since I am used to Qwerty keyboard like what my Palm Treo 650 have.
Misconceptions. Like what other N800 users who blogged about their gadget, this device is NOT A PHONE. This is more like a laptop companion. N800 device as well as Nokia 770 are called Internet Tablet. The wireless capability is really good. It can detect WLAN accesss point better than my laptop.
Power Computing. I must say that this device is a complete powerful system. It is Linux under the hood courtesy of Debian, SSH client and server courtesy of Dropbear, VOIP functionality provided by Skype, IRC and instant messaging using Pidgin (GAIM), Wordpress client using MaemoWordPy, web browsing using Opera. FM tuning is an added bonus!
This is definitly handy and lightweight than carrying laptop. I’m keeping my faith on this device. Should I say, “If it’s Linux it must be fun!”?

I finally got my very own Nokia N800, brought from my sister direct from Amazon.com. So far, I’m loving it. The screen is crystal clear! Im currently figuring out how to upgrade the firmware to the latest version in order to get the latest feature enhancement like Skype and Flash 9 support. I’m loving it so far.
About The Device
Nokia N800 is an internet tablet that is powered by Linux. The geek in me thinks that if it’s Linux it must be good - to hack
I sure hope to find this device useful. I’ve been tired of carrying my laptop so I’m settling on this not-so-little device to surf the web while drinking latte:) By the way, an on-going collaboration among N800 hackers are currently porting Linux applications to this device. Visit maemo.org for more info.
Now for picture-loving people.. here’s my device. Sorry about the quality of photos. This was taken using my Treo 650 camera. Quality is not that great.

More photos later on

Are you are professional designer? I am not one but I know how to appreciate typefaces when I see it. Typefaces can make or break a design projects. It’s a critical design element that needs a lot of consideration especially when doing professional design for a clientele (other than yourself). For a almost complete list of professional fonts, smashingmagazine.com got something for the designer in all of us.

Yes, i became a caveman for quite sometime but I’m back now. Sorry about not posting anything. Does anybody care around here?
I am just regaining my strengths because I know I need it with my current position/work at the office - senior software engineer (whoa!) Nothing special really, it’s just a tag and a number of responsibilities that goes along with it. About my current work, we support our mother company’s network of e-commerce sites in the US. The team where I belong handles integration and is responsible that our flagship sites stays healthy 24/7. It’s a tough job actually but kind of exciting and educational.
I also planned to learn CakePHP very soon. I used to tinkered with it when it was just pre-alpha but got frustrated because of the lack of documentations, examples and community support. During that time, Ruby On Rails was still and should I say, HOT-HOT-HOT. But now, PHP developers got CakePHP to work with ala-rails magic!
I’m also itching on becoming a “netreprenuer” someday (if not soon) so I joined Netrepreneur Philippines. They’ve got an internet discussion hosted by Yahoo Groups. If you feel that you want to become a billionaire someday, join us. I must tell you though that at the moment the discussion group doesn’t have as much traffic as someone would expect. It’s just new anyway. A few spam here and there but I’m hoping that fruitful discussion will start flowing in my Gmail inbox soon.
That’s it. Sorry about wrong grammars & spelling. I’m not a professional writer nor good in english. I just don’t edit or proof read my posts most of the time. I just live clicking “publish” button and modify later! More tech updates soon.
